Listening to some great music (kids turned me on to 'Tallest Man on Earth") and wondering about walking in a foreign environment and what that will be like? I've been working on compiling the right playlists on my ipod and it reminds me of the time (oh, so long ago) when I made mixed tapes (so many of them) for my first labor and delivery.
Back then, I spent a couple months thinking about the different phases of labor and trying to compile the right music for each stage. Little did I know that my labor would go so quickly and I would scarce get a chance to listen to any of those tapes! Hence, the subsequent homebirths that had no soundtracks (other than me, of course, uttering lion-speak)
I think about work and wish I didn't miss people. But I do. I've been so lucky to be able to work with people who are awesome and smart and full of the best types of integrity.
I know the world is full of people like this and I look forward to meeting more of them....perhaps along the path, there they will be.....
